Much Hoole and the Transit of Venus

In preparation for the forthcoming transit we visited Much Hoole, Lancashire, to view the church and the stained glass windows (ancient and modern) depicting the transit, and in particular the observations of Jeremiah Horrocks, who was clerk at the church and lived nearby at Carr House.
